For 20 years, Dr Nield has taught thousands of dental students at the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio, Texas. His position, Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, provides him the honor of teaching a very significant course in providing the foundation to a quality dental education. 
The UTHSC Dental School opened in 1967 and provides more Texas licensed dentist than any other dental school in Texas. The Dental School Mission is the acquisition, dissemination and use of knowledge toward the enhancement of oral health. This mission is addressed through six interrelated action components: education, research, patient care, community, faculty and staff, and infrastructure. The Dental School not only excels in education, but is a center for research and service to the community.
